Brian began his hospitality career at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta and then started a career with Marriott International where his experience includes more than 20 years as a hotel general manager. In addition to winning Marriott awards such as GM of the Year, his career highlights include serving as general manager of the Renaissance Charleston Historic District Hotel in his hometown of Charleston, S.C. During his tenure there, the hotel earned recognition such as being named a “Best Hotel in Charleston” by Conde Nast Traveler. He served as an adjunct professor for the College of Charleston and he was president of the Charleston Area Hospitality Association.
After returning to Atlanta with his family in 2018, Brian became the general manager of the JW Mariott Atlanta Buckhead. Highlights have included hosting VIP events for Buckhead community members as well as hosting many notable, high-profile guests, meetings and groups. Brian also assisted in planning and executing the largest renovation in the hotel’s 35-year history with a transformational capital improvement project completed in 2020. Brian received a bachelor of science degree and a masters of business administration from Clemson University. He is active in Atlanta professional and charitable organizations and serves as chairman of the Georgia Hotel & Lodging Association’s Buckhead Hotel Council.
