Per the recommendations of the 2008 Piedmont Area Transportation Study, the Buckhead CID is working to widen Piedmont Road from Peachtree Road to Lenox Road. The CID has developed a concept that will enhance pedestrian and cycling mobility while expanding Piedmont Road to better accommodate traffic flow by expanding to three lanes in each direction and creating a dedicated left turn lane.
