Buckhead’s Five-Year Public Safety Progress: A Community Success Story
Buckhead’s momentum keeps building. APD Zone 2 has reported five straight years of crime reduction — a 27% overall decline from 2020 to 2025, including multiple years of double-digit decreases — reinforcing Buckhead’s position as a safe, thriving hub for business, entertainment and residential growth.
These results reflect a coordinated, community-wide commitment backed by significant Buckhead CID investment. Over the past five years, the CID has funded 37,500 hours of supplemental vehicle patrols by off-duty APD officers, 41,600 hours of bike patrols, and 50,000 hours of traffic control while supporting a housing subsidy program that has helped retain 28 APD officers living and working in the Buckhead community.
A safer Buckhead is a stronger Buckhead. We are deeply grateful to our law enforcement partners for their dedicated service, and we remain committed to the investments that are making a measurable difference for our businesses, residents and visitors.
