Buckhead Village Precinct Officially Opens

In In the News, News, Press Releases

On Wednesday, June 29, the Buckhead CID joined Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens, Governor Brian Kemp, Atlanta Police Department Interim Chief Darin Schierbaum and others to officially open the new Zone 2 precinct in One Buckhead Plaza at the intersection of Peachtree Road and West Paces Ferry.

Through a collaboration with APD, Buckhead Coalition, Buckhead Community Improvement District and Cousins Properties, the Buckhead Village Precinct will augment the efforts of beat officers, enabling them to operate more efficiently as crime fighters. The Buckhead Coalition and the Buckhead CID contributed $150,000 for buildout of the space while APD signed a lease with Cousins for a nominal fee. This precinct will house at least a dozen officers with the goal to staff the precinct with 24 officers depending on the overall growth of the APD.
