Buckhead CID Leaders Honored by North Buckhead Civic Association

The North Buckhead Civic Association (NBCA) recently recognized two longtime champions of the Buckhead community. Former Buckhead CID executive director Jim Durrett and former District 7 Councilmember Howard Shook each received awards honoring their years of contributions to the community. Adding a meaningful touch, the glass awards were mounted on granite remnants sourced from the new Wieuca Road roundabout park — a fitting tribute that ties their legacy directly to the infrastructure improvements they helped make possible.

The park (which you can see in the project update below) will be formally named in Councilmember Shook’s honor later this year.
