Lenox Boardwalk Nearing Completion
The Lenox Boardwalk — Section I of the Buckhead CID’s Lenox Road Complete Safe Street project — is in its final weeks of construction. The .44-mile urban linear park runs along Lenox Road from the Lenox MARTA Station at East Paces Ferry Road to Peachtree Road, featuring a new shared-use path and boardwalk, updated traffic signal mast arms and enhanced pedestrian lighting.
Paving and final striping are complete, with lighting and landscaping to be finished by June 12.
Wieuca Road Project Approaching Finish Line
One of the Buckhead CID’s most significant infrastructure investments is nearly complete. The .32-mile Wieuca Road corridor from Peachtree Road to Old Ivy Road — anchored by a new roundabout at Phipps Boulevard — is on track for a May 31 completion. The project also includes a new traffic signal at Old Ivy Road, dedicated dual-direction protected bike lanes, a wide side path, pedestrian lighting and native landscaping.
Milestones are coming fast: the new traffic signal at Old Ivy went live April 29 and will transition to normal operations on May 21, with the adjacent slip lane now open. Bike lane paving is underway, lighting will be operational by May 15 and final striping will complete the picture by month’s end.
