The Buckhead Village Streetscape program will greatly enhance the pedestrian experience while revitalizing one of Buckhead’s most popular destinations. The program consists of approximately $4 million for construction provided by a generous grant from the Woodruff Foundation, the Buckhead CID and other private donations.
The Buckhead CID has made this its highest priority area and plans to construct streetscape improvements along portions of Roswell Rd., the Charlie Loudermilk Park, Peachtree Rd. between E. Paces Ferry and Bolling Way, Bolling Way and a section of E. Paces Ferry. Construction should begin in early 2012.
To incentivize private investment in the Buckhead Village, any owner in the designated program area is eligible to receive a reimbursement of material costs if they reconstruct their street frontage according to the standards outlined in SPI-9 zoning district.
For more information on the proposed streetscape design standards, contact Brian McHugh at 404-842-2693 or bmchugh@buckheadcid.com.
