Village Streetscape

Current status:

Construction began in 2014 and incorporates aspects of the Buckhead Village Street Redesign initiative. Work continues in 2016.

The Buckhead Village Streetscape program is a joint effort between Buckhead CID, private owners in the Village and the Woodruff Foundation. The program exists to improve and enhance the pedestrian experience in the Village by implementing highly-designed, public environments while revitalizing one of Buckhead’s most popular destinations. The program is funded by $2 million each from Buckhead CID and the Woodruff Foundation.  The funds can be accessed by property owners (in a designated area) for approximately 50 percent of their improvements or can pay for 100 percent of the costs for improvements undertaken by Buckhead CID.

Buckhead CID has made this its highest priority area and is working on streetscape improvements along portions of Roswell Road, Charlie Loudermilk Park, Peachtree Road between East Paces Ferry and Bolling Way, Bolling Way and a section of East Paces Ferry. Stakeholder meetings and right of way acquisition took place in 2013.
