Jim Durrett – Executive Director Jim Durrett, an Atlanta native, directs all activities of the CID.  Jim has been promoting smart growth development and livable communities since 1996, when he left his hydrogeology practice and went to work at the Georgia Conservancy.  From there his career took him to the Metro Atlanta Chamber where he was VP of Environmental Affairs, to the Urban Land Institute where he was founding executive director of ULI Atlanta, and to the Livable Communities Coalition where he was founding executive director. Jim is an avid bicyclist, a graduate of Leadership Atlanta, the Regional Leadership Institute and the Institute for Georgia Environmental Leadership, and serves on several boards, including MARTA’s board of directors.  Jim and his wife, Pat, have two adult sons.
Darion Dunn_Photo (128x180) Darion Dunn – Director of Capital Improvements and Planning Darion Dunn oversees the planning and implementation of capital projects, including roadway, streetscape, pedestrian and park improvements.  He has over 15 years of experience in civil engineering design and project management.  Prior to joining the Buckhead CID, Darion served as the Program Manager for the City of Smyrna’s SPLOST and Parks Bond programs.  Darion attended Georgia Tech, where he earned a degree in Civil Engineering and a certificate in Economics.  He sits on the boards of the Chattahoochee Tech Foundation and the Leadership Cobb Alumni Association.  Darion and his wife, Raquel, enjoy traveling and spending time with family.
Rebecca Stokes – Financial / Office Manager Rebecca joined Buckhead CID in July, 2012. She brings a vast amount of experience in the office and financial management. Rebecca handles not only all book keeping and financial oversight for the organization, she also ensures the organization is running smoothly on a day to day basis and administers all benefits and personnel issues for the organization. She routinely participates in program administration for those programs with significant financial components to ensure they are appropriately tracked and prudent financial controls are maintained.
Jo-Anne Carlson – Executive Assistant Jo-Anne Carlson keeps track of all the moving parts at the CID and ensures Jim stays on top of his obligations. She has worked in the administrative field for over 20 years, her career covering a variety of industries including educational, financial, commercial real estate and IT. She has been with the Buckhead CID for over nine years. Jo-Anne is also an artist, musician and writer. Some of her artwork is on display at F2O restaurant in Buckhead. Jo-Anne and her husband are urban pioneers in in-town Atlanta.
